Vicar of the United Benefice of St Paul’s Drighlington and St Peter’s Gildersome

The Bishop of Leeds wishes to appoint an experienced priest to lead these two churches which are continuing to grow and develop during the vacany.

We are looking for a new vicar who is:

  • Excited about sharing Jesus
  • A collaborative leader who will share responsibility and help us to grow as confident disciples
  • A good organiser and communicator
  • Keen to embrace the remarkable unity which already exists and focus outwards on growth

  • A prayerful, dedicated and gifted team with a wide range of gifts, abilities and skills, eager to share in mission, with enthusiasm for lay ministries
  • Two worship traditions (one with robed choir and organ and one with worship band) with one heart for mission
  • Excellent church buildings (one recently reordered, one modern), good vicarage, healthy finances
  • Two villages (population Drighlington 5528, Gildersome 5800) close to Leeds and motorways
