Still available for a Summer Camp?....you are NEEDED!

Scripture Union is a volunteer movement and so people like you who give time and energy to be involved in ministry are the heartbeat of what we do.

The first event of our summer programme has just begun.  Whilst we are incredibly grateful to all those who have already volunteered or let us know that they can’t help this summer, we still have some pressing needs for volunteers on four specific events.

Please could we ask you to consider whether you and/or people you know might still be able to get involved, even at this late stage?

  • We need more volunteers to help at the Longbenton Community Mission in Newcastle from Wednesday 5 to Friday 7 August.  Even if you could help for only one day, that would be valuable.  Please contact JohnS [at] scriptureunion.org.uk for more details.

  • We need more volunteers for Scoughall Adventure, our short break for 8-12 year olds which is taking place from Monday 10 to Friday 14 August at Scoughall, near North Berwick.  Again, please contact JohnS [at] scriptureunion.org.uk in the first instance.

  • We are looking for female volunteers for the ‘One-Two’ Sports Camp for 8-12 year olds taking place at Knock in Cumbria from Friday 14 to Monday 17 August.  Ability to referee a netball or hockey match is desirable but not essential!  Please contact BobM [at] scriptureunion.org.uk if you can help.

  • Finally we need more volunteers on our Scoughall Challenge short break for 12-16 year olds, also at Scoughall, from Saturday 15 to Wednesday 19 August. Contact GeoffB [at] scriptureunion.org.uk.

Even if you can’t volunteer personally, please could we ask you to join us in praying that these needs will be met?

Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this request, and for your prayers and partnership in the gospel.
