People in Shipley and the local area are being invited to join the ‘crowd’ following Jesus in a dramatic re-telling of the events of Holy Week and Good Friday.
The Passion Play will take place from 12 noon to 1pm on Good Friday (March 25) in Shipley town centre.
The play follows the events of Jesus life from his entry into Jerusalem to his crucifixion. It has been devised, rehearsed and will be performed by local Christians from churches across Shipley Churches Together.
The action of the play will start at St Paul’s Church on Kirkgate (Shipley) at 12 noon before carrying onto Crowgill Park, Shipley Town Hall, Shipley Market Square and finishing at Well Croft. The play finishes at approximately 1pm. This is a free event for all to attend.
