Winning poster in the adult sectionCat Chadwick won first prize in the Adult Section.

Revd Tina Walker, Fairtrade West Yorkshire & The Dales, who presented the prize to Cat at St Thomas' Church, Batley last Sunday said:

Winner in the adult section "Cat's poster had all the elements the panel of judges were looking for - a colourful, attractive image that makes people want to look closer and a short and snazzy message with layers of meaning.
New Life: Good Life – the caption on Cat’s poster - celebrates both the joy of helping others overseas through our Christian living as well as the much deeper meaning of the Easter Story.”

Cat said winning the competition was a lovely surprise:
"I can't believe it! I don't think I've ever won anything like this before in my life!"

All the winners were presented with a fairtrade chocolate Easter egg and a certificate signed by Bishop Nick.

The judges commented
"It was hard for the panel to choose the winners.  Choosing from over 1,500 fabulous entries was hard. People used everything from paint, print and  collage to mosaic, chalks and computers.“
