Zero Carbon Church - What does it look like and how do we get there?

Why did they do this, what does it mean for a church to be carbon neutral and is that possible? Will this detract from the mission of the church? Jemima will help with the answer to these questions and give guidance on where your church can start on your journey to carbon neutrality. Q and A and discussion. Led by Jemima Parker, Diocesan Environment Officer.
This session will run in Zoom. Please register by emailing Jemima.parker [at] leeds.anglican.org (Jemima Parker) to receive the link and password for the session.

Environmental Mission Training Day 8th June 2019 - St Mark's, Harrogate

Bishop Paul Slater speaking to the audience

God’s creation is in trouble and consequently so are we. People are speaking up: students coming out on climate strikes; councils such as Leeds, Kirklees, Otley, Harrogate declaring climate emergencies; Extinction Rebellion protests; even David Attenborough has spoken up and called for action. But what would Jesus do? And what should my church do?
