Helen Jones

Helen Jones will serve as assistant curate in the parish of Holy Trinity, Huddersfield, in the Leeds diocese. Helen will be a part-time, self-supporting minister, serving her curacy alongside her work in the NHS. She has trained for ordination at St Hild College, Mirfield, for the last three years, where she studied for a higher education diploma in Theology, Ministry and Mission. Helen manages the Macmillan Information and Support Service at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, and co-ordinates a charitable organisation ‘Firm Roots Cancer Support’.  She is married to Ian who is Rector of Kirkheaton Parish Church, and they have two sons – Ben, a trainee accountant in York, and Oli, who is studying Chemistry at York University. Helen loves spending time with family and friends, sign language, the cinema, swimming and playing the piano (badly!). Helen has a heart for encouragement and pastoral support, particularly for people experiencing difficult times.
