Working in the Diocese of Leeds: Guidance for Inspectors

Professionals working in the Diocses of Leeds must agree to work under the terms of the Diocsean Scheme below. Additionally, all professionals are asked to complete a Microsoft Survey Form and provide a copy of their CV to the church buildings team. This survey may be repeated periodically to ensure that details are up to date.

Diocesan List

While the diocese does not make recommentations to PCCs, for peace of mind and ease of process many PCCs make their selection from the diocesean register.

If you would like to be included on the register, please complete our informational survey and email a copy of your CV and a completed Diocesan Scheme Acceptance Form (see below) to Gemma Shearwood.

Inspection Reports

The Diocesan Scheme requires that your Quinquenial Inspection Report (QIR) is completed in accordance with the current guidance and template from the Church Building Council.

Within three months of the date of the inspection, a copy of the QIR should be supplied to the PCC, Archdeacon, and DAC (c/o Gemma Shearwood). If this timescale is not possible due to extenuating circumstances, you should contact should the PCC, Archdeacon, and DAC to agree an alternative timescale.
