CMD Courses, Retreats and Resources Brochure
A brochure is published twice a year on our CMD page for the attention of all clergy and Licensed Lay Ministers in Leeds Diocese. This brochure includes upcoming events and learning opportunities that are planned in the following 5 or 6 months from Diocesan Teams as well as external providers, such as Harrogate School of Theology. It also includes a number of chosen retreats taking place at Parcevall Hall, Scargill and The Briery Retreat Centre that may be of interest to clergy and LLM's. Finally, it includes resources such as finance information and clergy welfare links.

Tax Management for Clergy
Thursday 8th October 2026 at Church House, Leeds
In this session Daniel will explain how clergy tax returns work. He will help you to understand what kind of expenses can legally be offset against your tax return, how to manage this efficiently, and what records you need to keep in case of future review by HMRC.
CMD Grants
All licensed clergy have a grant fund of £250 a year and all Licensed Lay Ministers (including those with Permission to Officiate) are able to apply for a grant of up to £75 a year. Both clergy and LLM's can use these grants to pay for events like those listed in the brochure above. For more info about grants, click here.
