Bishop Tony has announced the second youth event for the Community of All Saints
He has issued an open invitation to young people aged 11 plus to come to Gospel Street, a mix of theatre, comedy, spoken word and music in St George’s Church, Lupset on Friday 3 November.
It follows the successful Murder in the Cathedral event earlier this year; the first event for young people across the Wakefield Episcopal Area as part of Bishop Tony's Community of All Saints.(pic right is chocolate fountain heaven at Murder in the Cathedral event)
The event brought 70 young people from across the Area into Wakefield Cathedral on a Friday night to work together to play detective, find clues, interrogate suspects and find the evidence to unmask the murderer. Gospel Street is the latest touring show from Riding Lights Theatre company which tells an exciting and contemporary story with a challenging message as four young evangelists put together the story of what happened on their street.
Tickets cost £5 and include supper. All under 18s should be accompanied by an adult. Tickets from charlie.scott@leeds.anglican.org.

Please join us on 1st November at Wakefield Cathedral for a Eucharist to celebrate one year of The Community of All Saints. Since Advent Sunday last year about 150 people have signed up to keeping a simple ‘Rule of Life’ and there will be testimony and worship, led by Bishop Tony to mark this anniversary.
