The Church of England have recently been involved in conversations with charities and other organisations during this challenging time who are producing constructive advice/reminders about safeguarding for those they work with and support.

Here is a short advice note to this effect that your parishes, PSOs and clergy may find useful. This will sit on the national website alongside other information that we are regularly updating.

Please note that the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisors (DSAs) are currently hybrid working until further notice.

The National Safeguarding Team (NST) are working to provide information regarding safeguarding and COVID-19, including volunteering. As you can imagine this is an evolving issue and the NST are working to obtain more information from the government in this area. We will provide further information as soon as we are able. Please speak to a DSA should you wish any advice.
