Becoming a curate

If you've been released by your diocese to explore curacies in other dioceses it can be a confusing time.  So many different places with different ministry opportunities to consider.  We'd like you to consider whether ministry in the Church of England's newest diocese could be for you.

The diocese is one of the largest in the Church of England and includes virtually every kind of ministry you can imagine.  We have three cathedrals, some of the most remote rural benefices in England, large cities and places with significant populations of people of other faiths.  There are parishes in this diocese of almost every "flavour" of Anglicanism.  If you're interested in exploring whether a curacy in the Diocese of Leeds might be where God is calling you, please email the DDO on vocations@leeds.anglican.org.  Please note that all ordinands seeking a curacy in the Diocese of Leeds must have been released by another diocese to enter into discussions with other dioceses before contacting us and there is an upper age-limit of 58 at the point of ordination for stipendiary curates and 60 for SSM curates.
