Giving through the PGS offers significant benefits for you and your church compared to other forms of regular planned giving:
- As a giver, you will benefit from a system that is secure, confidential and easy to use, while supporting your church today and in the future.
- It is free to join the PGS and your church receives the full value of all regular donations by the 10th of every month. The regular income helps improve cash flow and financial planning.
- Your donations are protected. Giving through direct debit means you are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
- Givers can sign up in three ways: posting a paper gift form, calling up the PGS team, or signing up online via the PGS website. This flexibility makes it easy for all givers to use the PGS.
- Gift Aid is automatically processed every month by the PGS team, reducing the burden of admin for church volunteers.
- Givers have the option to automatically increase their giving annually by the rate of inflation. This is completely optional but helps to tackle the problem of 'static giving' and protects the value of the gift each year.
- All givers have 24/7 access to their online account, and complete control over their giving with the freedom to change the value of their gift, and their giving preferences at any time. Changes can be made online, using the givers PGS account or by emailing the PGS team (info@parishgiving.org.uk), or by phone on the PGS helpline number: 0333 002 1260.
