The Chancellor of the Diocese of Leeds is Professor Mark Hill KC. The Deputy Chancellor is Glyn Samuel. The Chancellor is the judge of the Consistory Court and is responsible for determining whether or not a faculty should be granted. Usually his judgements are issued on the basis of written representations and recommendations from the DAC (see DAC & Faculties), although in some cases he may choose to convene a hearing which normally take places in the church concerned. All communications concerning the Consistory Court should be directed via the Registry. The Registrar is Mr David Whitaker.
