Course structure
This two hour course looks at why we celebrate Holy Communion / the Eucharist as well as covering the three core theologies about the meaning of the sacrament.
Following this, we will look at the various vessels and elements on the altar, there is time to practice giving the elements, and we will think about taking communion to the housebound or in a hospital setting.
Your local parish priest, an Area Dean or a Lay Training Officer can deliver this training. Simply click on the resources above to download the presentation, an attendance sheet (which will need to be returned to the Area Bishop) and the Trainer’s Notes.
