People from across the diocese came together at one of our Exploring Vocations Together events at Leeds Minster to reflect on how God calls people into ministry and service.
The diocesan Vocations Team hosted the enjoyable and enriching evening on the evening of Tuesday, February 10.
Participants met in the Minster Café-Bar and enjoyed chat and refreshments before the event started.
The heart of the evening was a wide-ranging and thoughtful conversation led by Bishop Chris Edmondson, retired Bishop in the Diocese of Leeds, who guided the group in thinking through and discussing the many ways God speaks to His people.
Drawing on biblical foundations as well as personal experience, Bishop Chris encouraged those gathered to reflect on the different ways they have sensed God’s voice in their own lives.
The evening concluded with Compline in the Minster church.
Feedback from participants has been positive, with many expressing gratitude for the opportunity to reflect, pray, and explore vocation in community.
Warm thanks are extended to the staff of Leeds Minster for their generous support and hospitality in making the event possible.
The next Exploring Vocations Together event is on Wednesday, April 22, a vocations fayre from 6pm at Wakefield Cathedral, preceded by Choral Evensong at 5.30pm led by the Cathedral Choir.
