Curacies in the Diocese of Leeds in 2026

The Diocese of Leeds has a number of curacies available in 2026.

Priest in Charge of the Erringden Benefice and Luddenden w Luddenden Foot

This is an exciting opportunity to work with three closely-linked churches in a beautiful part of Yorkshire.

Priest in Charge of Warley and Mount Pellon

Our vision as the Diocese is about confident clergy equipping confident Christians to live and tell the good news of Jesus Christ. For all our appointments we are seeking clergy who have a joyful and confident faith which has inspired a track record of church growth. The parishes of Warley and Mount Pellon lie to the west of Halifax, West Yorkshire. They are urban-edge communities, bordering the Calder Valley and the higher ground to the north-west, and have characteristics of village life despite being on the outskirts of a major town. These two parishes are coming together for the first time, in the hope that working together alongside a new priest will maximise opportunities to foster growth. There is commitment to build relationship, to reach out into the community with the love of God, to develop in discipleship and to nurture new believers.

Rector of Castleford

This is an exciting opportunity to grow the Parish Church of All Saints Castleford in discipleship, mission and numbers.

Team Rector Harden & Wilsden, Cullingworth & Denholme

Following a fruitful period of Interim Ministry we are now looking to recruit a permanent Team Rector to build on the foundations laid. There is now a strong, shared and cohesive identity across the four churches.

2025 Curacy Parishes Opportunities

We are pleased to have a number of curacy opportunities to offer across the Diocese of Leeds, for commencement in Summer 2025. Here in Leeds, we are committed to life-long learning of clergy and lay people. As such, curates can expect a programme of Initial Ministerial Education 2 (IME2) which focusses on equipping clergy with the knowledge and skills they will need for their ministerial life, but also seeks to inspire them towards further development throughout their ministry.

Priest in Charge (0.5)Toller Lane St Chad

St Chad’s, with its strong traditional Anglican Catholic heritage, is one of two parishes in the city of Bradford that have passed a resolution the Bishops and Priest (Consecration and Ordination of Women) Measure of 2014.
