2025 Curacy Parishes Opportunities

We are pleased to have a number of curacy opportunities to offer across the Diocese of Leeds, for commencement in Summer 2025. Here in Leeds, we are committed to life-long learning of clergy and lay people. As such, curates can expect a programme of Initial Ministerial Education 2 (IME2) which focusses on equipping clergy with the knowledge and skills they will need for their ministerial life, but also seeks to inspire them towards further development throughout their ministry.

Bishop of Wakefield - Diocese of Leeds

The Bishop of Wakefield will join the team of five Suffragan (Area) Bishops in the still young Diocese of Leeds under the leadership of the diocesan Bishop of Leeds. Each Episcopal Area is co-terminus with an Archdeaconry. Uniquely in the Church of England, the diocese has three cathedrals.

Vicar of Darton & Staincross

The United Benefice of Darton with Staincross and Mapplewell is looking for a priest who will lead them into the next exciting stage of their development.   There are huge opportunities in these two long-established communities to work with families and schools to grow mission and discipleship, both amongst the existing congregations and in the significant new housing developments in the villages.   Applications are invited from male or female priests who can hold the sacramental, Liberal Anglo Catholic tradition of the churches while being open to exploring a range of different missional opportunities in the churches and across the villages.
