This well-established benefice of three parishes looks forward to welcoming a new incumbent who can lead them into growth, both in numbers and in depth of discipleship, over the coming years. There are welcoming and friendly congregations in all three churches, ready to work with their vicar in reaching out to the communities around them with the love of God.
The parish of Warley lies to the west of Halifax, West Yorkshire, bordering the Calder Valley and the higher ground to the north-west, and has characteristics of village life despite being on the outskirts of a major town. The parish is being enlarged to take in the area of Pellon, a parish whose church is in the closure process. There is hope that a new priest will build relationships across the extended parish, reach out into the community with the love of God, develop discipleship and nurture new believers. In coming years, the pioneering of a new worshipping community in the Pellon area would be welcomed.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with three closely-linked churches in a beautiful part of Yorkshire.
