This one hour workshop provides an opportunity to start a conversation within your church context and can be run within your church or online.
Engaging with Christening Families and Seasonal Events
How are Christenings valued by your church? How are Christenings valued by your
community?
Drawing on the work of the Church of England’s Christenings Project, a national initiative around Baptism, this workshop is designed to help parishes think about how they can come alongside and support Christenings families in their faith journey. It will explore and develop some of the opportunities for mission and ministry that exist before, during and after a baptism, as well as share resources that can support this work.
Engaging with Communities and Seasonal Events
This workshop is designed to help parishes think about opportunities to engage with their local communities and will cover a number of possible opportunities, highlighting ways to get started. There will be an opportunity to think about ways in which your church can invite those from within the local community to seasonal events.
