The Churches of the Skipton Deanery are looking to appoint a part-time Deanery Networking Coordinator; Self-employed (0.4fte).
The Skipton Deanery is a group of thirteen churches located in Skipton and in the surrounding area. The Deanery provides a link between these worshipping communities and is looking to develop a networking role to the benefit of all member churches.
This post is available for 560 hours in total over two years spread flexibly across the project which runs until the second half of 2027, commencing on 1st January 2026. The post comes with a salary which will be a hourly rate of £30 plus travel (availability of laptop, printer, mobile phone to be negotiated).
This is a unique opportunity to take on an exciting new role to promote the establishment of a Deanery identity by facilitating the sharing of: Worship, Ministry and Mission, Expertise and Resources, so enhancing the life of our communities according to Gospel values and encouraging growth.
The Deanery are looking for someone, with the ability to work independently, to unlock the potential of Parish communities building on their many strengths and developing already excellent relationships with their wider communities.
As leader, communicator, team builder and player, the Networking Coordinator will be comfortable in developing and building networks, partnerships, and collaborations with the whole Deanery community. They will also have the skills and ability to manage their time effectively. They will receive support from the management group and working closely with them, and the Diocese, plan for the development of Skipton Deanery identity.
