Bishop Arun licences his first priest for Leeds

First published on: 24th October 2022

After his first few weeks as the Bishop of Kirkstall, the Rt Revd Arun Arora has licenced his first priest for the Leeds Area of the Anglican Diocese of Leeds.

The Revd Daniel Miles (pictured centre) has been licenced as the Interim Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Manston, which is situated east of the city centre. It contains Manston St James Primary Academy, one of our many Church of England school, and the parish church of St James the Great, Manston, in Cross Gates.

Alongside Bishop Arun, a number of clergy colleagues from the Leeds Area were also in attendance, including the Archdeacon of Leeds who is pictures to the right of the new vicar of Menston.

A small gallery of images from the licencing service can be viewed here.
