A new series of events will help people across the diocese find out more about their vocations.
‘Exploring Vocations Together’ events are being run throughout the year at different venues by our diocesan Vocations Team.
Each has a particular focus on an aspect or topic of ministry.
The next event is at Wakefield Cathedral on Wednesday, May 21 at 7pm.
We will be hosting a vocations roadshow, supported by the wider diocesan Formation Team.
The event will be a chance to come and discover what kinds of ministries are available in the Diocese of Leeds, focusing on callings to ministry.
It will be an opportunity to listen, gather information and ask questions.
The Revd Canon Sean Robertshaw, Diocesan Director of Vocations, said, “The Vocations Team’s aim is to encourage and prepare people for specific kinds of ministry and service in the church.
“There are so many ways one can serve: working with youngsters, occasional preaching, as a pastoral minister, a mission apprentice or priest.”
“All these expressions of service are available, and more - come and discover what it’s all about!”
