Our bishops send Rosh Hashanah warm greetings and prayers to our Jewish friends

Our bishops have sent warm greetings and prayers to our Jewish friends, as Rosh Hashanah begins.

Rosh Hashanah marks the Jewish New Year and is the first of the Jewish High Holy Days, running from Monday, September 22 to Wednesday, September 24.

The full text of the Bishops’ message can be read below.

"On behalf of the Anglican Diocese of Leeds, we bring heartfelt good wishes to our Jewish friends as you celebrate Rosh Hashanah. In these extraordinarily difficult times, we pray that the High Holy Days may be a time of refreshment and blessing, and we assure you of our continued prayers over the coming year. Shanah Tovah!"
