Schools from across the diocese took part in World Book Day, with teachers and pupils dressing up to celebrate books and reading.
Lynette Chapman, head at Rawdon St Paul’s CE Primary School, dressed up at Mr Tickle, and was featured on BBC Look North in their piece about World Book Day.
Many of our other enthusiastic church school headteachers also threw themselves into World Book Day.
Jonathan Wood, from Ossett Holy Trinity CE Primary School, dressed up as Super Mario, while the staff of East Bierley CE Primary School dressed up as dalmatians, with headteacher Vicki Meek as Cruella De Ville.
Becky Schofield, headteacher at Barkisland CE Primary School, dressed up as Willy Wonka.
