The next stage of our Vacancy in See process is underway, with an open online forum being held on Thursday, September 11, at 6pm.
The meeting will be chaired by the Rt Revd Toby Howarth, Acting Bishop of Leeds, and will be attended by the Archbishops’ Adviser on Appointments and the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Appointments.
It will be an opportunity to share further views on what we as a diocese want for our next Bishop of Leeds, following the hundreds of responses received during our public consultation process.
In that process postcards and posters were distributed to all our parishes, with some 750 people replying with answers to questions regarding their hopes for their churches, what qualities are needed in the next Diocesan Bishop of Leeds and what they would like to say to that person.
These responses are now being compiled and will be shared as an important part of the Statement of Needs document currently being produced by the diocese as part of the Vacancy in See process.
Please email communications@leeds.anglican.org for details on how to join the meeting.
