Incumbent of the Benefices of Bradley, and Fixby & Cowcliffe

Overview

We are looking for a priest who is committed to helping us to grow in numbers, in spiritual commitment to God and in service to the local community as we deepen and strengthen the relationships across our parishes and communities. In return we will offer you our support, prayers and practical help from the multi-talented people in our congregations who are passionate about their faith, and are, in true Yorkshire style, welcoming and friendly.

These parishes sit on the north-eastern edge of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, in the midst of beautiful landscapes, yet within easy reach of excellent facilities and cultural richness. Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Halifax and Manchester are all within easy reach. There are excellent links further afield via the M62/M1 motorways and the rail network with good train services to Leeds, Manchester and London.

Please see the Person Specification, Role Description, Brochure and Parish Profile attached for further details of the role and the essential and desirable qualities we are seeking in relation to this post.

The Diocese of Leeds is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All post holders are expected to share this commitment. All appointments to roles undertaking regulated activity are subject to pre-appointment checks, including references and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.
