Fantastic photos of Wakefield churches shared with diocese

Striking images of churches in the Wakefield area show just how beautiful they can be, in new photos shared with the diocese.
The pictures were taken by photographer Paul Wort, of Blue Pig Photography.
About why he likes to photograph churches, Paul said: “I like to photograph them because of their tranquillity.
“They are peaceful havens in a busy world.
“I also think that as you get older you appreciate the amazing craftsmanship that went into the architecture, and the details in the carvings and stonework are incredible.”
If you have any pictures of our churches you would like to share, please send them to communications@leeds.anglican.org, or share them with us in our Leeds C of E Camera Club Facebook group, found here.
