I have been married to Ian since September 1984 – we have two wonderful daughters, Bethany and Lucy, two amazing sons-in-law – Philip, married to Bethany and Aaron, married to Lucy, and we’re blessed with three gorgeous grandchildren – Daisy, 7, Maximiliano, 5 and Sylvester, 3. Luckily for us, our grandchildren are only an hour away, with our oldest daughter, Bethany and her husband, Philip. Our youngest daughter lives in Melbourne, Australia, with her husband Aaron – we visited them for a month last year.
I work as the deputy head of chaplaincy at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, a job that I absolutely love. I was a nurse for over 20 years, and before that I worked in education with children who had additional needs, so right now, it feels like God is pulling all the strings together, in a way that only He could. I often wish this that I might have been doing this earlier in my life, but this is God’s time, not mine.
I am delighted, blessed, and honoured to have been selected for training, and my training at St. Hild College in Mirfield has been absolutely amazing.
I am really looking forward to worshiping, learning and serving with the team at Leeds Minster.
I go forward with obedience, joy, love and commitment, I cannot wait to see what God has planned for me.
