Easter celebration in Huddersfield

The Archdeacon of Halifax celebrated the inauguration of the Diocese by presiding and preaching at Christ the King, Battyeford, one of 25 parishes which transferred into the Huddersfield Episcopal Area on Easter Day. Archdeacon Anne said ' It has been wonderful to spend Holy Week and Easter Day with one of the parishes transferring into the Huddersfield area and to begin to get to know the people there. I look forward to working with them and with all the other parishes from the Dewsbury and Birstall deaneries which are now part of the Huddersfield episcopal area over the coming weeks and months.
