Follow Me teaching evenings return for seventh year

Follow Me 7, a series of inspirational teaching sessions held at Wakefield Cathedral, will kick off this year with the Revd Dr Hayley Matthews (pictured), Director of Lay Training for the Diocese of Leeds.

Organised by the Bishop of Wakefield, the Rt Revd Tony Robinson, the Follow Me events were launched in 2014 as an opportunity for people to learn more about discipleship.

Commenting on the up and coming teaching sessions, Bishop Tony said, "After 18 months I am pleased to say that we have arranged a new series of Follow Me sessions."

“This time there will be seven sessions beginning in October and finishing in May 2022. The first session is being led by the Revd Dr Hayley Matthews on Thursday, October 14 at Wakefield Cathedral.

“The title of her talk is ‘Sowing Seeds of Love’ looking at ‘Encouraging’, one of the seven areas of our Diocesan Rhythm of Life.

“One of the sessions on Saturday, March 26 2022 will be a Quiet Day at Mirfield and the final session in May will be led by Bishop Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury.”

The majority of the sessions are held in the evening, all beginning at 7.45pm following choral evensong at 6.30pm.
