A group of young people from the Bradford Episcopal Area have flown out to the Washington DC at the start of an eighteen day youth exchange with the Diocese of South-western Virginia.
It won’t be all sight-seeing for the group. In Washington they will be involved in an outreach project to homeless people. The remainder of their trip will be spent in the diocese of South-western Virginia and includes time in Lexington, Lynchburg with a visit to the Monacan Indians, Roanoke and a canoe trip on the James River.
The group will also be working at Grace House, the diocesan retreat centre and visiting Blacksburg, the home of Virginia Tech, before returning home from the US on 7 August.
