Children from St Andrew’s Primary in Keighley have had two art pieces featured in a Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture exhibition.
The children from the Church of England primary school created a model of the church of St Andrew’s Keighley, as well as a collage portrait of the Revd Amy Berry, curate in the Keighley Parish.
These featured as part of an exhibition at the Dye House gallery at Bradford Collage, as the city celebrates art and culture this year after being made UK City of Culture for 2025.
The Revd Jon Berry, Team Vicar in the parish, said; “The children drew portraits of Amy, and then cut them up into 32 pieces.
“They then selected 32 different pieces from 32 different portraits of Amy and put them together to create the portrait that is being displayed in the exhibition.
“They said that they chose Amy because their brief was, ‘to focus our work on someone influential and well-known in the area (but not part of school staff).’
“They also created a model of Keighley St Andrew’s, which is also currently in the exhibition."
